Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd. (6087-M) has been operating for more than a century in Malaysia and is looking forward to more exciting and challenging years ahead. We refine, supply, trade and ship crude oil and petroleum products, as well as market and sell transportation fuels, lubricants, speciality products and technical services.
Responsibilities:

This role is intended to manage the growth of the non-fuels retailing (e.g. convenience retailing, car servicing,carwash,other services for on-the-move customers) business through Shell’s relationship with third party operators. Key to this role is to develop a strong and compelling non-fuel retailing offers with new formats development either via 3rd party operators,or partners to enhance the revenue and customer experience. This role also seeks to leverage other growth opportunities for the business as a whole.

Third Party Relationships
1.To maintain benchmarks of Shell’s relative competitiveness for third party operators versus competitors, as well as regularly screen third party opportunities within the market that may improve our competitive advantage

2.To develop,negotiate,deploy and manage the third party contracts that exist within the Shell retail network,including:

-Shell branded and non-branded Carwash Operators
-Introduction of Food / Beverage proposition (in conjunction with Food Category Manager)
-On-the-move site services

3.Involvement in other local,regional and global initiatives as required.

4.To lead the development of third party based solution development both in Malaysia and across the region. This includes the identification of challenges or opportunities that could be developed using third party support,and developing solutions with partners that are fit for purpose and add value to the business.

5.Work with retail network and real estate teams in the market to align co-locator (e.g. quick serve restaurants,banks,delivery services etc) strategy with the overall Shell Customer Value Proposition and Convenience Retailing strategy,and understand opportunities to further reinforce the offer for customers through the use of specific co-locators.

This job requires the candidate to manage a relationship across two unique organisational cultures,for the benefit of the end customer.

Additionally,this role has the opportunity to create new value for Shell through the development of mutually beneficial third party relationships that create new value to Shell customers.

Requirements:


University Graduate, with preference for marketing qualifications.

Experience in Retail (especially in convenience retailing - food and beverage preferred) business, preferably in category management and/or network or sales & operations.

Good negotiation skill and interpersonal skill.

Attention to detail and ability to interpret data in a meaningful and compelling way.

Strong financial and analytical acumen.

Fluent in English.
